About Us

I started my B.Tech college journey one year ago, but when I got my first semester results in SGPA, I was confused about my percentage. In school, we always got marks in percentage, and most students didn't know about SGPA or CGPA. After college started, everyone learned about SGPA, CGPA, GPA, and more. As a beginner first-year student, I was lost. A friend told me college results use grades from 1 to 10, but I still wanted my percentage. My professor said there's a universal formula to convert SGPA or CGPA to percentage, but some universities use different ones and ours college is one of them.

The first time, I calculated my SGPA to percentage using the formula my professor suggested. Some classmates saw this and asked me to do theirs too. It was very hard to calculate for each friends, but I did it. That's when I realized there should be a calculator tool so students can easily get their percentage by just typing their grades.

I was right. Online, I found websites offering GPA, CGPA, and SGPA to percentage converters, even for marks to percentage. I was thrilled, like I'd found a magic tool—until I tried one. I entered my SGPA and got an unexpected, incorrect result. After researching, I saw every tool used a universal or specific formula, but none matched my college's.

I struggled hard to find a proper CGPA and SGPA tool that covered all universities, especially mine. This was the starting point of sgpa2percentage.com. I went to my professor and asked how to build a website where anyone could calculate CGPA or SGPA from any university. He guided us step by step, and with help from some friends, sgpa2percentage.com now exists.

That's the short story behind sgpa2percentage.com. Now, with our tool, students save time no more manual calculations for CGPA, SGPA, or percentage. It's useful not just during college but later too, when jobs ask for percentages. This platform is built by students, for students. We're always improving it.
